The arts and crafts subject embodies various traditions, from the craftsman’s solid knowledge of materials, techniques, and work processes, via the designer’s knowledge of developing ideas and solving problems, to the artist’s production of creative work of art. The perception of art, design, and architecture are along with raising the awareness of our cultural heritage in the global perspective, important aspects of the subject. Sami arts and crafts are a natural element of our cultural heritage. Understanding the arts and crafts of the past and the present in one’s own culture and that of others may provide the basis for developing our multicultural trust.

India is moving progressively towards becoming a developed country. The government has initiated many programs & campaigns like “Digital India”, “Make In India”, “Digital Literacy Mission”, “Startup India”, “Swachch Bharat”, “Smart City”, “Education For All’’, “Skill India” and so on for this. There is still a large gap between the highest-paid and lowest-earning people of India. This gap can be filled with the help of Non-government organizations to meet the rising aspirations of its people and to boost the economy.

Presently, there is a large shortage of skilled manpower in the country. India’s formally skilled workforce is approximately 2-3%. This is in far less than other Asian countries like South Korea and Japan, which have 90 – 95 percent population trained in vocational skills. European countries like Germany and France have more than 80% of professionals trained with technical skills. Help from NGOs is essentially required to meet the present requirements.

At present, we are working on the following awareness campaigns-

A. HIV & Aids
B. Clean India (Swachh Bharat)
C. BetiBachao, BetiPadhao (Save Girl Child)
D. Hum Do Hamare Do (Population Control)
E. Say No to Dowry
F. Digital Literacy
G. Save water, Save life
H. Go cashless
I. Self Defence for girls
J. Plants for Breathing
