Who we are
About Laxmivasudev Foundation
Laxmivasudev Foundation (LVF) is an independent, voluntary, non-governmental and non-profit organisation working for the up-liftment and holistic development of poor, underprivileged children, women and vulnerable families.
LVF is an NGO registered as charitable trust by government of NCT/Delhi under Indian Trust Act, 1882. With a rights based, non-institutional approach the organisation endeavours to educate and impart life skills to vulnerable children, weaker sections, 3rd gender and women so that they become self-reliant and exit the generational cycle of illiteracy and poverty. Our distinctive goal is to empower women and children from poor and marginalised communities leading to improved life of dignity through economic empowerment, better health and education.
Our purpose of existence is to enhance the lives of disadvantaged people, children and women, and try to make positive changes and a healthier approach towards their life. LVF continues to provide a credible, honest, transparent and accountable organization that devotes itself towards a privileged future for the disadvantaged and downtrodden. We are to be available to the people in need where government agencies can’t go due to their various limitations and better speaking areas left for non-governmental agencies.
We are continuously in search of better methods to make our-selves available to the humankind where they feel in need. Laxmivasudev Foundation’s mission is to make real the idea of democratic society consisting of free and equal citizens who are able to come together and solve the problems that affect them in their particular contexts. The commitment is to work for a paradigm of development and governance that is democratic and people centric.
Our Trust seeks to institutionalize the idea that development and governance is not only to be left to the State and its formal bodies like the legislature and bureaucracy, but that citizens and their associations viz. self help groups, resident welfare associations etc. should engage separately and jointly with the State. The mission briefly, is to construct the conditions in which citizens of plural backgrounds and perspectives can come together and deliberate on how they can work to benefit and empower the least advantaged in society.
Our programs need continuous financial support to run and help the poor and the needy.
